It's never crowded and always quiet. Often there are artists painting in a section at the end of the park.
Very nice State Park. Great place to go for a walk, dog friendly. There is a boat launch and a few little alcoves with picnic tables. Good place for a quick run too.
Lots of fun times with the family here. Easy quick access to the CT River. Always a great day.

I only went there to drop in my kayak on the CT River. Pretty modest boat launch but seems like the park overall is quite large and has a lot to do.
Beautiful natural setting set on the CT River. Never crowded, very well maintained.
Nice for a stroll by the river. Takes about 45 minutes to do the whole loop. The grass is kept nicely mowed and overall the park is very clean. The boat launch is popular but I've never tried it. At low tide it's fun to sit out on the sand bars, which extend quite far into the river. There are lots of charcoal grills as well... pack a picnic and spend the day!
